Thought I would share what my live tile for GoGetter looks like. I have been asked a few times if GoGetter supports live tiles and what it displays. Obviously, I am behind on a few tasks. I better get cracking on them.

GoGetter updated from v1.3 to v1.4 in a matter of days!

Well, I recently updated GoGetter after many months of work on it. When it was done I submitted it to the Marketplace. One thing I forgotten to do was make it compatible for light themers. So, I worked on those updates and the original release number for this update was supposed to be 1.3.192. Upon submission to the Marketplace I was not allowed to have a MINOR version number to the app. So, I had no choice but to bump up the release number to v1.4. Below are the release notes to both version 1.3 and v1.4. Let me know what you think of the release. Have a good one.

ver 1.4
Support for light theme (forgot to add in v1.3)
Fixed error when restoring data from Dropbox when a custom background was used. Should work now. For best results, once data is restored exit GoGetter (hit the Windows button on your phone) and reopen GoGetter manually.

Note: this update was really labeled as 1.3.192 originally, but the Marketplace only allows for version 1.x updates, therefore, I had to bump the version number up to v1.4. So, v1.4 is the new 1.3.192. You live and you learn.

ver 1.3
Updated look (Tile, application, and splash page)
Add multiple actions or projects at once.
Dearchive actions
View archivable actions
Action item count in lists (Inbox, Today, Next Actions, etc…)
Pin to start adding actions (Mango feature)
BYOW - Bring your own wallpaper. Now you can use your own custom wallpaper for the main page.
Auto backup to Dropbox (hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly)
Added a few more tile color options
Added ‘How To’ section (to learn how to use GoGetter)
Bug fixes
More Mango feature to come

Editing and deleting a project in GoGetter

Just a quick tip for those who need to edit or delete a project from GoGetter.

To edit a project press and hold the
project. A contextual menu will appear
to edit the project. You should just be
able to hold it for 1-2 seconds to be
presented with the option.

You are then able to edit the projects properties.

To delete a project swipe it left to right
or right to left to be presented with its
menu. From there you are able to delete
the project by pressing the X button to the
far right.

Once the X button is clicked your project and ALL associated actions to it will be deleted from GoGetter. Be careful when doing this. Always have a backup to Dropbox in case you made a mistake. You can find this option in Settings->Backup (this option is only available to purchased copies)

Backing up your projects, actions, and its settings to Dropbox

One great feature of GoGetter is the ability to backup your projects, actions, and its settings to Dropbox. This can be useful if you are upgrading your phone’s storage capacity (since the procedure will completely wipe out your phone’s contents), bought a new phone, or just wanting to have a backup for those just in case moments. Below you will see how you can backup your projects, actions, and settings using GoGetter.

On the main page of GoGetter you would need to go to your settings panel in order to find the Dropbox backup option. The Dropbox option is only available for purchased versions (sorry, I need to provide for my coffee addiction).

Navigate to the “Backup” pivot tab.

Enter your Dropbox credentials and click “Login”. If you do not have a Dropbox account you can create one from this page. If you create one from the app using the link provided you help me to receive more space on Dropbox. :D

Once clicked your credentials will be authenticated.

You will then be able to backup and restore your data.

Clicking the “Backup” link will backup your projects, actions and settings to Dropbox.

As well, you can easily restore your projects, actions and its settings by clicking the “Restore” link.

This is what my restored data looks like.

Your data will be stored on Dropbox as a folder called “GoGetter”.

If you have any questions or comments just let me know. I’ll be happy to help you with anything (GoGetter, life, pondering questions about the universe, etc…)

Have a good day!
